If left untreated, it can have unfortunate effects on happiness, health, and social and occupational functioning. Counseling can help you become aware of stresses and emotional and physical reactions, recognize ways to change, reduce the intensity of emotional reactions to stress and learn to moderate your physical reactions to stress.
